SEASONS
A cold and bitter winter felt
By those who suffer through
Each passing day the hope abounds
Of springtime and birth anew
When life returns to frozen soil
When trees start budding green
When birds return to fill the skies
And the sunshine can be seen
What hope spring gives to the chilly soul
Who struggles through winter’s blast
Wondering if life will always be cold
And the skies of love overcast
For just as spring restores to life
All that once seemed dead
There’s a light in life which touches us
And beckons us be led
And if we follow full of hope
The path will surely lead
To summer bounty and happiness
Where once we dared not feed
For season follows season
It’s a law of nature known
So also is our path in life
If we’re willing to be shown
Life holds in store for each of us
Something just our own
Enjoy the thrill of discovery
It’s nothing to postpone
So off you go with hope alive
Cherish each day you live
You are a special child of God
And have so much to give
